Is that what you feel? A cold sudden icy shock throughout your whole body due to a single slash of a blade? Does that make you feel better? It sure as hell made me feel better, for a small moment. A small burning sensation in your wrists and throughout your whole body, like that of diving into a frozen pool then falling back into a steaming spa. Your eyes roll back and you sigh, loudly. Blood starts trickling down your arm, adding to the already stinging pain. Tears fall down, salty, onto your newly opened wound. You gasp in pain. The rush is over, now all you have to do is wipe off the evidence and get back to your daily moping sessions. Is that what you feel? Is that what you do? I used to, and so did/do thousands of other teens. But let me ask you, did that EVER fix the reason why you did that in the first place? Did your boyfriend apologize for beating you? Did your uncle come back from eternal sleep? Did your father stop hitting you? Did anything really change cept the amount of blood in your body? No. So why do it? "Oh ____ it feels good." "It helps me remember I'm still alive." Shut the hell up, none of those reasons are good enough excuses to hurt yourself like that. If you cut the wrong vein, you're not gonna "remember you're still alive" anymore. In fact, you'd rather be dead and in a couple of hours, your wish will come true as everyone gathers around your deathbed.
This "cutting solution" doesn't do anything but help adrenaline release throughout your body for a quick second. This quick second may be the best feeling in the world, like your spirit reentered your body but only after soaring the bright heavens. But after that quick stop in time, everything goes back to the way it always was. You still hear your parents arguing downstairs, you still hear the silent whispers of your dead brother, and the terrible shouts of your mother pleading. Everything restarts again, just to take a part of the neverstopping cycle in which more blood is spilled out of your body. Don't hurt yourself over something that already hurts anyway. Go do something about it. Take action and FIX that problem. Get over yourself. Let your tears fall but recollect them after. Dont wander in the past, cause that'll just make it worse. If you believe, pray to your God(s). If you don't believe, do it yourself. Stand up, get out of your room and tell your parents to calmly talk instead of constant fighting. Hope for Karma to do her thing on your fucking abusive boyfriend that used you. Or go take your revenge (just keep it peaceful). Remember your passed away love ones but don't mourn, they wouldn't want that. Talk to your family and friends and they'll help you out. Let everyone know that you're strong and confident. Don't let anyone get you down (next blog). Especially, do NOT hurt yourself over something that's already hurting you. It's not worth it. =]

As somebody who has never been in that position, this really does tell me to not do such a thing...and I'm sure it does to a lot of other people as well. Keep on spreadin the message :P
i agree, people should just smoke weed.
or "anonymous", they can take an alternative path towards it and talk to someone about it. Weed doesn't do anything cept fuck you up even worse later on.
