Songs Are Hardta Write

So this is a nonranty blog I'm typing out from my sk

The last couple weeks I've been tryna write some songs. I ended up only writing one for now and its a very simple song. I wanna write 3 full songs before summer but its hard. I newly learned that I haveta follow a certain basic guitar scale (pentatonic, a major, g minor. Etc etc) to write a good lead guitar song. But idk, I never rly liked following a set of rules cuz songs are something where you express urself and a guitars a big part of that, but if I followed a scale it wouldn't be as free anymore. I know its like the only easy methodbut idk. I'm just gonna keep tryna find some good melodies by listening and trying. Idk how long it'll take but hopefully I'll have 3 songs done by summer and if my drummer friend helps me out, they'll be fantastic and maybe I can even record em and post em on myspace or something. So stay posted and I'll letchu know when I finish the 2nd song. Wish me luck. =]
