So this blog ISNT a rant. It's just a uhm confession maybe? Well not really, its not a confession. Just a "just letting you know" kinda thing.
As you know, i love music and i listen to it everywhere I go and everything i do. I'm also constantly downloading new bands/songs and listening to them nonstop for a period of time. After this period of time, I dont listen to them as much, but I still do and when i do memories of the time/season that this song reminds me of comes back.
These thoughts of mine first started Thanksgiving Break. My Thanksgiving Break song is Hey Nightmare Where Did You Get Them Teeth by A Skylit Drive because I downloaded this band/song a couple weeks before Thanksgiving Break and didnt really appreciate it till Thanksgiving Break. I listened to that song repeatedly every day. And now when I hear the song, i think of Thanksgiving Break memories. For Winter Break, the songs are Slowdance and Kaleidoscope by Yearling, Shotguns Speak Louder Than Words by Before Their Eyes, and Utah and Armageddon by Emarosa. These 5 songs really remind me of winter break because i would constantly listen to these songs. and i mean CONSTANTLY. My spring break songs were Diamonds and The Birds and the Bees by Breathe Carolina, All It Takes For Your Dreams To Come True by A Skylit Drive and Take My Hand and Save You by Simple Plan. I also have some songs for the summer of 2007. All of Saosin songs and Tears Don't Fall and All These THings I Hate, both by Bullet For My Valentine. Finally, my end of 8th grade memories songs are a lot of The Used songs From Yesterday and The Modern Myth by 30 Seconds to Mars and Minstrel's Prayer by Cartel. Listening to these songs at these times helps me remember the events I did at this time everytime i listen to the song/band. I love the feeling and its just hella fun too. So go out and try it why dontcha! =]
