Music: My Passion, don't ruin it.

So this blog, as the title says, is about music. Music is, indeed, something that keeps the world spinning. Since the beginning of mankind, music has been a way of expressing oneself. Music has been used for rituals, ceremonies, parties, or, just to listen to it and lose yourself in it.
Nowadays, the teenage generations are taking REAL music for granted and making music lose its true value. If anyone has a myspace, you may notice that many people put "Music is life" on their myspace, once or even repeatedly. I hate that! Because the people that do this are usually the people that only listen to mainstream shit. Chris brown, Flo Rida, T-Pain, listening to them does not make music your life. When you listen to the music and hear the lyrics, do you gain from it? Or all that comes to mind is sex and drugs? Does the mainstream shit that you listen to actually help you through your life? Or do you just "like the beat?"
You may be saying "Oh Juice, its there own opinion. Let them listen to it" Okay, you can. But please dont say that music is your life because its not. You're not like me or people like me where you wouldnt be caught dead without your ipod with you. You're not like us, where you sit on the bed and listen to music and just float away to past memories, or thoughts that the lyrics bring to us. All YOUR music does is degrade women and support drug abuse/violence. I'm not telling everyone to only listen to rock or alternative or nothing, but if you're only gonna listen to mainstream, please dont say music is your life. Go out there and listen to real rappers, Eminem, 2Pac, Rakim, Nas. Go hear their lyrics and live the words that they say. Listen to Saosin, Rise Against, The Used, or 30 Seconds to Mars. These rock/emo (as many people would stereotype)bands are indeed mainstream, but they actually spread a good message and help you think. Go listen to these artists and bands and other ones alike them then MAYBE you can claim that music is supposedly life. But besides that please dont waste your time finding glittery wallpapers on myspace that say "Music=life" or shit like that, because that just makes you a faggot. So either listen to some good music, or stop tryna say fake shit. =]
